PLEASE SUGGEST APPROPRIATE SEXY STARS TO PORTRAY Hillary & Bill

PLEASE SUGGEST APPROPRIATE SEXY STARS TO PORTRAY Hillary & Bill Have you ever wanted to see a Hollywood biopic about the budding romance between young Bill & Hillary? Well, too bad. The Wrap: Fresh off spectacular reviews for his Sundance film “The Spectacular Now,” James Ponsoldt is attached to direct “Rodham,” an indie movie about Hillary Clinton’s early years, TheWrap has learned. Written by up-and-coming screenwriter Young Il Kim, “Rodham” placed fourth on the 2012 Black List. Set during the height of the Watergate scandal, the story follows rising star Hillary Rodham, the youngest lawyer chosen for the House Judiciary Committee to Impeach Nixon, who finds herself forced to choose between a destined path to the White House and her unresolved feelings for former boyfriend Bill Clinton, who is teaching law in Arkansas… Ponsoldt has had good luck unearthing gems from the Black List, which catalogs Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplays. Sounds like a winner. This is sure to be a box-office smash. THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL PROPAGANDA IS OFF & RUNNING

Present nightmares- How far We Have Strayed from Federalist Papers

Present nightmares- How far We Have Strayed from Federalist Papers “The number of individuals employed under the Constitution of the United States will be much smaller than the number employed under the particular States.” Wrong “The operations of the federal government will be most extensive and important in times of war and danger; those of the State governments, in times of peace and security.” Wrong “But ambitious encroachments of the federal government, on the authority of the State governments, would not excite opposition of a single State, or of a few States Only. They would be signals of general alarm. Every government would espouse the common cause. A correspondence would be opened. Plans of resistance would be concerted. One spirit would animate and conduct the whole. “ Wrong. “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” Right. Each of James Madison’s Federalist nightmares have come true.

The murder would take place in another room anyway

The murder would take place in another room anyway The New York Post's Kyle Smith has a lengthy report on a video produced by Live Action, "an anti-abortion group founded by activist Lila Rose," at a Bronx abortion clinic called Dr. Emily's Women's Health Center: “In an exchange laden with euphemisms on both sides to conceal the gruesome nature of the discussion, the pregnant woman wondered aloud what would happen if "it" (her fetus) emerged from her intact and alive. The employee assigned to take note of medical history reassured the woman, "We never had that for ages" (a seeming admission that a baby did survive abortion at the clinic at least once) but that should "it" "survive this," "They would still have to put it in like a jar, a container, with solution, and send it to the lab. . . . We don't just throw it out in the garbage." Oh, and this innocuous-sounding "solution" was, of course, a toxic substance suitable for killing an infant. "Like, what if it was twitching?" asked the pregnant woman. "The solution will make it stop," said the clinic employee. "That's the whole purpose of the solution . . . It will automatically stop. It won't be able to breathe anymore." As for any qualms a woman might have about seeing her newborn child being poisoned and drowned in a jar, the employee advised her "patient" not to worry: She'd be under sedation, and the murder would take place in another room anyway.”

MOCKERY: The Greatest Weapon Against The Tyranny Of “Very Serious People”

MOCKERY: The Greatest Weapon Against The Tyranny Of “Very Serious People” – Laughter. “Never forget, the “achilles heel” of anyone who’s driving aim in life is to CONTROL the lives of other people is his or her aching need to be taken ‘seriously’.” Most of them make it easy by being so laughable. THE COUNTRY’S IN THE VERY BEST OF HANDS: Food stamps pay for billions in junk food, but USDA won’t say how much. “Food stamp participation is at an all-time high, costing taxpayers $80 billion in 2012 alone, but the U.S. Department of Agriculture refuses to make public how much of that money pays for junk food. 2010 study by the Center for Science in the Public Interest said that spending was even higher, estimating soda companies reap as much as $4 billion each year in SNAP money. IF ONLY THEY WERE THIS INDEFATIGABLE ABOUT PROTECTING OUR RIGHTS: Sen. Manchin vows to continue fight to pass background check bill. DON’T WAIT FOR THE CAVALRY; SADDLE UP YOURSELF: The Good Guys Are Not Coming To Save Us. At least Tom Z tried to ride to the rescue of the errant Ohio Republican Party. UNDERFUNDED/OVERGENEROUS PUBLIC PENSIONS MEET THE K-12 IMPLOSION: In Illinois, public pensions already gobbling up education funding. NONPROFIT HYPOCRISY: Nonprofit Pushes Paid Sick Leave While Its Interns Go Unpaid. “One of the nation’s top advocates for paid sick leave utilizes unpaid interns who lack the pay and benefits for which the group lobbies. The National Partnership for Women & Families (NPWF), a lucrative nonprofit that lobbies for mandatory paid sick leave laws in cities and states across the country, advertised part and full-time internships on its website that come without compensation or benefits.”

Three strikes for Madison

Three strikes for Madison Comments on the Federalist Papers: Madison asked, “How could a readiness for war in a time of peace be safely prohibited, unless we could prohibit, in like manner, the preparations and establishments of every hostile nation?” Do Iran, North Korea or China come to mind? Impossible, of course, to stop war builld-up in any terrorist states. The importation of slaves was prohibited after 1808. Madison thought “It ought to be considered as a great point gained in favour of humanity, that a period of twenty years may terminate for ever, within these States, a traffic which has so long and so loudly upbraided the barbarism of modern policy...” Did this happen? Not until after the Civil War and even beyond. A third strike for Madison was his idea that the job of the general ( federal) government was to “establish a uniform rule of naturalisation.” This never happened either. Yes, common sense has struck out in politics.

Are you disappointed?

Are you disappointed? Very near the end of the last essay in the Federalist papers, around April, 1787, is this sentence by Publius ( Hamiliton). “The intrinsic difficulty of governing thirteen States at any rate, independent of calculations upon an ordinary degree of public spirit and integrity, will, in my opinion, constantly impose on the national rulers the necessity of a spirit of accommodation to the reasonable expectations of their constituents.” Are our “reasonable expectations” being met by this present administration?

The more choices people have to make, the more likely they are to make bad ones.”

our leaders think so little of us The caption to the video that accompanies my review of Cass Sunstein’s book Simpler reads “Cass Sunstein says that the act of choosing is a muscle that gets fatigued. The more choices people have to make, the more likely they are to make bad ones.” That sentence is indeed an excellent summary of Prof. Sunstein’s thesis. Yet it is a thesis fundamentally at odds not only with my own, but with the thesis of many other people who are not so enamored with the alleged promise of a nanny state. We say, in contrast to Prof. Sunstein, that “the act of choosing is a muscle that gets stronger with exercise. The more choices people have to make, the more likely they are to make good ones” (assuming, of course, that government socializes neither the benefits nor the costs of such choices). What a bleak and condescending opinion Prof. Sunstein has of ordinary people. Sincerely, Donald J. Boudreaux Professor of Economics

A Madison insight

Unsilenced Cal A Madison insight “Public measures are rarely investigated with a spirit of moderation”...which is “more apt to be diminished than promoted by ...occasions which require an unusual exercise of it (moderation).” But all is excess not moderation in Congress today’ everything is a crisis. Unsilenced Cal A Madison insight “Inquisitive & enlightened statesmen are best qualified to make judicious selections of objects proper for revenue ( taxes).” Instead, pork reigns in Congress today. Unsilenced Cal A Madison mistake James Madison said 3 distinct interest groups represented people in the new Constitutional government. 1. Artisans & manufacturers would represent the merchants, 2. Learned professors would take no distinct interest in society and 3. Landed owners’ interests would be based upon the confidence they had in the protection of their property. Now, the elite rule in favor of their interests and the Constitution and the rest of Americans be damned. Unsilenced Cal A real man Andrew Jackson’s only 2 regrets upon leaving office as President were “not having been able to shoot Henry Clay or to hang John C. Calhoun.”

OBAMA Final words to Planned Parenthood “God Bless You”

OBAMA Final words to Planned Parenthood “God Bless You” Imagine, only 6 months ago he was Pro-Life. Politics or Perfidity? OUR IDIOT BETTERS: Williams-Sonoma, the specialty retailer of home furnishings and gourmet cookware with over 250 stores in the United States, has pulled pressure cookers from their shelves following the Boston Marathon bombing. "It's a temporary thing out of respect," said Kent, who is the Store Manager of the Williams-Sonoma at the Natick Mall . "Barney Frank compares al-Qaeda to Tea Party"--headline, Washington Examiner website, April 25 FIVE SAD PICTURES FROM YESTERDAY’S ANTI-NRA MARCH: “A generous estimation of the crowd size would have been about 100 people, including members of the media.” Folks were tweeting that there were more members of the media than there were marchers. IT’S NOT A TAX INCREASE. IT’S JUST A TAX . . . FACILITATION! Senate advances online sales tax measure. KEVIN WILLIAMSON: “The current debate over the Internet sales tax — the woefully misnamed Marketplace Fairness Act — is not about companies like Apple, but about the next Apple. A giant such as Apple has the resources to calculate, collect, and remit taxes on behalf of each of the country’s 9,600 or so sales-tax authorities, and in fact it does so. But the compliance costs imposes by the Marketplace Fairness Act would place smaller upstarts at a distinct disadvantage, which is, I suspect, one reason that market incumbents such as Amazon support the tax. The real cost of taxes is not the revenue out the door to the taxman; it’s the revenue out to the door to the taxman plus all of the costs involved in complying with the tax code.” K-12 IMPLOSION UPDATE: Another Anti-Voucher Democrat, With Kids in the Best Private School. “So Terry McAuliffe, who has had four kids going to a roughly $30,000 per student tuition private school (perhaps there’s a sibling discount), opposes the use of vouchers to send poorer kids to private schools.”

Alexander Hamilton a fool?

“To judge from the history of mankind, we shall be compelled to conclude that the fiery and destructive passions of war reign in the human breast with much more powerful sway than the mild and beneficent sentiments of peace; and that to model our political systems upon speculations of lasting tranquillity is to calculate on the weaker springs of human character.” Was Alexander Hamilton a fool to express this belief? Today’s liberal local and national politicians base their agendas ( encapsulated in rules, regulations and guidelines) on an assumption of “beneficient sentiments all around. “Tool kits” are now available to schools to assess the dangers of concussions for student athletes; we must all be on the “same page.” I don’t think so. We are in terrorist denial while attempting ( and pretending) to live on a level playing field.

IS GOVERNMENT SMARTER THAN CITIZENS?

IS GOVERNMENT SMARTER THAN CITIZENS? “Government should not be assumed to command more knowledge than the individuals affected. The latter, at least in the absence of the free-rider problem, have every incentive to inform themselves. Government – politicians and bureaucrats – will do so only if votes are at stake. In general, government may prove to be willing to intervene, once accorded the power, in response to decisive voter groupings and dominant pressure groups and irrespective of the underlying efficiency criterion of the public interest.” From: Steven N.S. OUR LEADERS ARE IDIOTS

-HE ONLY SURPRISE IS THAT THE NUMBER ISN’T HIGHER: Poll: During Manhunt, 69% Of Voters Wanted Gun. -FOOD STAMP RECRUITER!!!!! THE LIFE OF A FOOD-STAMP RECRUITER: “In fact, it is Nerios’s job to enroll at least 150 seniors for food stamps each month, a quota she usually exceeds. Alleviate hunger, lessen poverty: These are the primary goals of her work. But the job also has a second and more controversial purpose for cash-strapped Florida, where increasing food-stamp enrollment has become a means of economic growth, bringing almost $6 billion each year into the state. The money helps to sustain communities, grocery stores and food producers.” -Daniel Farber’s and Philip Frickey’s important 1991 volume, Law and Public Choice: Ultimately, the health of the republic rested on civic virtue – that is, on the willingness of individuals to sacrifice private interests to the common good. This school of thought, which sought to revive the classical virtues of the Roman republic, has become known as republicanism…. The dark side of republicanism is its potentially totalitarian tendency to subordinate individuals to the public good, as defined by governmental elites. One of the most frequent and unfortunate failures to understand that things don’t always scale linearly involves democracy. Too many people assume that what holds true for their book club or homeowners association holds true for democratic polities of millions of people. -GREEN CRONYISM: White House Knew Fisker Automotive Was in Trouble– Gave Them Your Money Anyway. -Now this: Tamerlan Tsarnaev got Massachusetts welfare benefits. Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned. -State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. . . . In addition, both of Tsarnaev’s parents received benefits, and accused brother bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan were recipients through their parents when they were younger, according to the state. The news raises questions over whether Tsarnaev financed his radicalization on taxpayer money. -BACK IN 2001, MICKEY KAUS POINTED OUT A WELFARE-TERRORISM CONNECTION. Kaus wrote: “The point isn’t simply that many terrorists take advantage of Western welfare states, the same way they take advantage of Western freedoms and Western technology. The point is that extreme anti-social terrorist ideologies (radical Islam, in particular) seem to breed in ‘oppositional’ cultures supported by various government welfare benefits.”

Right on power and privilege?

Right on power and privilege? “It was a thing hardly to be expected that in a popular revolution the minds of men should stop at that happy mean which marks the salutary boundary between POWER AND PRIVILEGE, and combines the energy of government with the security of private rights. A failure in this delicate and important point is the great source of the inconveniences we experience...” Hamilton is right - power and privilege accumulate in a central government. “Unless we presume at the same time that the power of the general government will be worse administered than those of the State government, there seems to be no room for the presumption of ill-will, disaffection, or opposition in the people. I believe it may be laid down as a general rule that their confidence in and obedience to a government will commonly be proportioned to the goodness or badness of its administration.” Hamilton is right again - power and privilege can corrupt the administration of a central government. Power and privilege - who could have guessed? We being inconvenienced today? Who could have guessed. Is there hope? Maybe. Each graduate will receive 14 tickets to Obama’s commencement address at Ohio State because enthusiasm has not been as high as expected! Could it be that the sheeple of Ohio have finally realized the Emperor Has No Clothes!

EVEN HIS TAME MEDIA NOW ADMIT IT:

BARACK OBAMA’S ORGANIZATION expecting another gun control vote before 2014 elections? EVEN HIS TAME MEDIA NOW ADMIT IT: POLITICO: Taxes: President Obama’s budget would hit middle class. HuffPo: Obama Budget Plan Results In ‘Back Door’ Tax Increase For Middle-Class Households: Analysis. Hey, remember that pledge not to raise taxes on people making less than $250,000? Me neither. WAIT, WHAT ABOUT THAT PLEDGE OF NO TAX INCREASES FOR FAMILIES MAKING LESS THAN $250,000 A YEAR? White House Endorses Internet Sales Tax. DEPENDS ON YOUR METRIC. IT ENRICHED PLENTY OF CRONIES. Obama’s crony capitalism posts more pitiful results. If that’s the goal — and it is — the results aren’t “pitiful” at all.

Radicals do stuff

Radicals do stuff “The principal purposes to be answered by union ( a U.S.A. under the Constitution) ) are these - the common defense of the members; the preservation of the public peace, as well as internal convulsions as external attacks; the regulation of commerce with other nations and between the States; the superintendence of our intercourse political and commercial, with foreign countries.” How does our government shape up protecting us today? Washington denies Islamic terrorism. Its media excuses a “mixed up kid” for a terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon ( 3 horribly massacred hundreds seriously maimed and injured). Again from the Federalist #23. “...the means ought to be proportioned to the end. The persons from whose agency the attainment of any end is expected, ought to possess the means by which it is to be attained.” How do we shape up with 2nd Amendment gun rights today?

BOSTON’S “HUDDLED MASSES”

BOSTON’S “HUDDLED MASSES” "A bomb can't beat us," President Obama assured Bostonians three days after the attack. "We don't hunker down ... we don't cower in fear." Yes we do. Less than 24 hours after Obama left town, hundreds of thousands of us were "sheltering in place." ACTUALLY, IT WAS AS SOON AS OBAMA JETTED OFF THAT THE FRIGHTENED MASSES WERE ORDERED TO COWER. “I think this (THE LOCKDOWN)was a severe overreaction based on fear, not reason. The cost of the shutdown was estimated at $330 million by Business Week. An estimate of the cost of the militia response was over $100 million. Economic cost is one goal of terrorism, as we know.” BOSTON’S “HUDDLED MASSES” The best they can do is tell me to lock myself in my home while they search for the bad guy. Though the residents of Watertown (and the surrounding greater-Boston area) were held in a state of near-martial law, the best most of them could do was huddle in their homes, hoping the police would take their 3 a.m. call and come running to rescue them before the terrorist killed them. . . . I realized right then that if I were holed up in my house while a cold-blooded terrorist roamed my neighborhood, I wouldn’t want to be a sitting duck with only a deadbolt lock between me and an armed intruder. LEFTIES NEVER LEARN Some of the stories we tell are naive: "This is a progressive town, the People's Republic," a Cambridge high school teacher remarked. "How could this be in our midst?" he wondered, as if diversity were a cure for all evil.

AMERICA’S DECLINE

AMERICA’S DECLINE Forget the deep philosophical analyses of what is wrong with America by either politicians or common people. I have the answer from today’s news. A local school will be let out 2 hrs. early because of the funeral of a “community member.” Students are encouraged to attend ( the funeral). Any excuse for less learning in school - that’s the essence of the decline and fall of America.

WITH HEADLINES LIKE THESE FROM POLITICIANS AND MEDIA, WHO NEEDS REALITY

WITH HEADLINES LIKE THESE FROM POLITICIANS AND MEDIA, WHO NEEDS REALITY: CIVIL SOCIETY, NOT BIG BROTHER, IS THE AMERICAN WAY Civil society, not Big Brother, is the American way. “As with every terrorist attack and high-profile killing, the Boston bombing has prompted calls for Americans to give up civil liberties for the sake of security. Rather than gun control or airport pat-downs, this time the call is for a Big Brother-like network of police cameras allowing authorities to more closely monitor people who move about the streets. But the story of the Boston bombers — the details of their crime and their capture — makes the opposite argument. We don’t need more government surveillance. We need to maintain robust civil society and public spiritedness.” TIM CARNEY ON BOSTON HOW’S THAT HOPEY-CHANGEY STUFF WORKIN’ OUT FOR YA? (CONT’D): Food stamp growth up 10x job growth, says Thune. Euphemisms or Obamaisms? Will Boston end them?

Euphemisms or Obamaisms? Will Boston end them? Four years were poorly invested in a failed alternate paradigm — “overseas contingency operations,” “workplace violence,” “man-caused disasters,” worries over losing the Army “diversity program,” and restrictions on the use of “terror,” or “jihadist,” or “Islamic terror,” or “Islamist.” I don’t think we are going to hear as much that the Muslim Brotherhood is largely a secular organization, that Benghazi was just a spontaneous demonstration, or that jihad is a holy struggle and a legitimate tenet of Islam. Not euphemism, not “George Bush did it,” not the president’s middle name or his Nobel Peace Prize, not “leading from behind” will endear the United States to radical Islam. These were the luxurious of a complacency achieved by earlier vigilance. The effect of multicultural euphemism will be either nugatory or counterproductive, in sending the message that a therapeutic society prefers to be liked rather than feared, a prescription for endangering the innocent at the expense of elites’ self-satisfied morality. Then and Now

Then and Now “The prosperity of commerce is now perceived and acknowledged by all enlightened statesmen to be the most useful as well as the most productive source of national wealth, and has accordingly become a primary object of their political cares. By multiplying the means of gratification, ... it serves to vivify and invigorate the channels of industry, and to make flow with greater activity and copiousness. The assiduous merchant, the laborious husbandman, the active merchant, and the industrious manufacturer - all orders of men, look forward with eager expectations and growing alacrity to this pleasant reward of their toil.” Until now, Mr. Hamilton! Now Big Brother watches over all private enterprise as it expands public programs. When social justice and equality of outcome prevail. A few more clever lines from the Federalist by Hamilton. “Our ambassadors abroad are the mere pageants of mimic sovereignty.” Hellary? John Kerry? Without a strong government separate from factions in the states, citizens, “must substitute the violent and sanguinary agency of the sword to the mild influence of the magistracy.” Red vs. blue? Progressives vs. conservatives? ‘Occupy wall street’ anyone? Hamilton calls for a “general discretionary superintendence,” meaning a united front to the world via a “confederate government,” which is necessary to avoid a “perilous situation” and “pernicious mischiefs.” Obama courting world approval and leading form behind anyone? Yes, Americans could handle themselves back then. Now, one 19 yr. old punk shuts down an entire foundational city like Boston. Armoured Hummvies can’t find him. Just a private citizen. You know what lies ahead?

Unlike Boston, with Benghazi

CBS’S SHARYL ATKISSON: “Unlike Boston, with Benghazi the govt never released the promised surveillance video. And no suspects identified or arrests to date.”

Coded language prevails

Coded language prevails I do no recognize my country anymore. A nearby city will sponsor two “Health Disparity Awareness Events” funded by a grant from the Ohio Commission on Minority Health. Fat, sick black people, anyone? Screenings, tests and Zumba-exercise demos are part of the events. Low income gets you some of this ‘healthful’ stuff free. I do not recognize my country anymore. Boston is today a city with people told to “shelter in place.” Each and every official then translates this to mean ‘stay home.’ Why not just use plain English and not weird code words?

Radical by choice

Radical by choice “Among the numerous advantages promised by a well-constructed Union, none deserves to be more accurately developed than its tendency to break and control the violence of faction.” Faction? “By faction, I understand a number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or minority of the whole, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adverse to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interest of the community.” So speaketh James Madison - 1787 - in Number 10 of the Federalist papers. Radicals are nothing new; radical Islamists are new. Passion is their common denominator; violence their common theme. What is to be done? The Boston murderers obviously were ( are ) not Americans neither by culture or by acculturation. Unfortunately, our American Republic does not encourage assimilation anymore.

AS OBAMA BELIEVES - THE CONSTITUTION IS A DRAG

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." - Daniel Webster

CHOOSING DICTATOR CHAVEV OVER DEMOCRAT THATCHER IS NO-BRAINER FOR OBAMA!

CHOOSING DICTATOR CHAVEV OVER DEMOCRAT THATCHER IS NO-BRAINER FOR OBAMA! Protocol: President Obama declined to send a high-level delegation to Wednesday's funeral of Britain's Margaret Thatcher. It's a measure of how little he values the special relationship — and a sign of his own smallness. ...... On Tuesday, the White House announced that gun control was a more pressing issue, so there'll be no high-level representation from the Obama administration at the funeral that will be attended by Queen Elizabeth. Instead, an ex-ambassador, an embassy charge d'affaires and two respected former Secretaries of State from decades past will represent us. That's a lower-level delegation than the one he sent to Caracas for the funeral of Venezuela's anti-American dictator Hugo Chavez last month, which saw a sitting congressman there to represent the U.S. This snub shows Obama places partisan politics above leadership or statecraft. His strange antipathy toward the British is well known — he insultingly returned the bust of Winston Churchill to the U.K. after it was loaned to the White House in friendship after 9/11, among many slights. He also despises everything Thatcher stood for — free men and free markets — in favor of a socialistic state, based on both his policies and his past. Wise Alexander Hamilton

Wise Alexander Hamilton “For in politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword. Heresies in either can rarely be cured by persecution.” These words from Alexander Hamilton in Federalist Paper Number 1 say it all, don’t they, about the effectiveness of terrorism at any time in history? In the concluding Federalist essay Number 85, Hamilton praises the securities of republican government, to liberty, and to property to be adopted by our U.S. Constitution. It (our Constitution) will restrain local factions and despots and prevent extensive military establishments and titles of nobility and take precautions “against the repetition of those practices on the part of the State governments which have undermined the foundations of property and credit, have planted mutual distrust in the breasts of all classes of citizens, and have occasioned an almost universal prostration of morals.” Hamilton could not have foreseen that we now have 2 Americas - red and blue, liberal and conservative, 2 countries states separated by ideologies and cultures.

Worth a $million dollars

Worth a $million dollars Who do I know to be worth a salary of a million dollars? Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Hellary Clinton for a memoir, the big O? Each worthless politician pays less taxes (I’m sure) on their millions than my candidate. I nominate our greatest living philosopher, Earl Pitts! Yes, check him out. This humorist earns his way in gold-plated observations on America’s present condition. And do you know what makes me sick? A million dollars might not be enough as far as I’m concerned to compensate him for unabashed daily wisdom. Cardinal Newman in 1831 observed that “It is as absurd to argue men, as it is to torture them, into believing.” All I can do is note that an unacceptable percentage of Americans are a long way from belief in abstract truth

DR. GOSNELL SLAUGHTERED BABIES FOR 10 YEARS - PRESS BOX EMPTY AT HIS TRIAL!

Awkward for President Obama? By Kathryn Jean Lopez April 16, 2013 1:07 PM DR. GOSNELL SLAUGHTERED BABIES FOR 10 YEARS - PRESS BOX EMPTY AT HIS TRIAL! Representative Marlin Stutzman of Illinois asked an excellent question last week: “Has our national conscience been irreversibly seared by the deaths of more than 1.2 million unborn children every year in this country?” This is a problem beyond politics, but politics could help. I wouldn’t mind my president being asked and reflecting on the question. As I said in the column, the existence of the Gosnell case insists on a national examination of conscience. Our choice is to do nothing in the face of this horror or actually protect lives and help women. Does anyone really want to be complacent or indifferent in the face of such inhumanity? Jay Carney asked about the Gosnell trial said the President Obama is aware of it and the details being reported are “certainly” “unsettling.” Given it is an ongoing trial, Carney, said, the White House could not comment further. Funny, he commented immediately on Travon Martin, Skip Gates and the filmmaker he railroaded after Bengazi.

INSERT ANY ISSUE

INSERT ANY ISSUE: In the name of protecting consumers, government raises the safety standards that must be met by all firms supplying good X. Members of ideological group A, along with executives of the regulated firms, complain that this regulation – being costly – discourages the supply of X and, thereby, harms the very people that the regulation is ostensibly meant to help. These opponents of the regulation accuse its proponents of naively assuming that the regulation’s consequences will be only those happy ones trumpeted by the government officials who impose the regulation. Members of ideological group B, along with the government officials who impose the regulation, deny that any such unintended negative consequences will result. These proponents of the regulation accuse its opponents of telling hysterical scare stories meant only to frighten the public into rejecting common-sense safety rules that no legitimate supplier will have any trouble meeting and that will clearly promote the public good.

INFANTICIDE IGNORED - INCONVENIENT TO PROGRESSIVISM

INFANTICIDE IGNORED - INCONVENIENT TO PROGRESSIVISM FROM: The Atlantic: Why Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s Trial Should Be a Front-Page Story: The dead babies. The exploited women. The racism. The numerous governmental failures. It is thoroughly newsworthy. “This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors.” BUT HAVE YOU SEEN ANY OF IT ON THE “MAINSTREAM NEWS” ? ED DRISCOLL: Old Media Slowly Awakens To Gosnell Horrors. “The key word is slowly; if you haven’t seen it yet, click over to to Hot Air for the photo of row after empty row of seats in the media section of the trial of Kermit Gosnell. But Terry Moran of ABC’s Nightline slowly awakens to the horrific Gosnell story ‘Kermit Gosnell is probably the most successful serial killer in the history of the world.’ As Jim Treacher responds, ‘Don’t tell us. Tell your viewers.’”

WHY DO WE ELECT IDIOTS

WHY DO WE ELECT IDIOTS WHO DON’T UNDERSTAND ’ECONOMICS’ ‘BUSINESS’ OR ‘LABOR’ REALITY? Brown seeking to raise minimum wage to $10.10 More than one million Ohio workers would be impacted by proposed legislation to increase the federal minimum wage, according to Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) FREEDOM IS SLAVERY Martin Wolf here is responding to the charge, made conspicuously by Naomi Klein [also Pres. Obama, Mayor Bloomberg & Michelle Obama], that corporations’ advertising and logos impose – or are a sign of – some sort of slavery over consumers: This charge – that corporations own customers – is another example of the lie that freedom is slavery. We are free to make choices, however. Insisting upon anything else demeans us. It is because we are free that corporations need to seduce us. Logos exist, therefore, not because corporations are strong, but because they are so weak. YOU CAN TRUST THE GOVERNMENT WITH YOUR INFORMATION: Missouri Secretly Shares Entire CCW List With Feds Against State Law. ED MORRISSEY ON Obama’s Budget Failure. “Let’s start with the bottom line. Obama proposes to spend $3.78 trillion dollars in FY2014, the highest level of spending ever.” “THIS’LL PLAY WELL WITH HIS BASE: The Hill: Gun control legislation gets a big boost from Sen. Toomey.”. Idiot Republican thinks he can cooperate with Obama Administration regardless of the wishes of those who elected him. OBAMACARE UPDATE: Smoking Is a ‘Preexisting Condition.’ It’s as if the whole thing was just a scam intended to kill private insurance or something. QUOTE OF THE DAY: Most of the rhetoric from the anti-gun fringe in the past few months is coming from babbling idiots who don’t know the difference between a rifle stock and a penny stock. It is impossible to craft “sensible” legislation regarding a topic about which one has no knowledge whatsoever. IOWAHAWK: Yours, Mine, And Ours. One of the creepier features of lefty language is the application of possessive pronouns. “My” is for rights (real or imagined), “your” is for responsibilities, “our” is for the stuff in my bank account they want to take. Unless it’s the case of “our responsibility” in which case they actually mean “your responsibility.” As the old saying goes, “what’s mine is mine, what’s yours is negotiable.” Nowhere is this linguistic claim-jumping more bloodcurdling than when they apply it to actual human beings: “our workers,” “our seniors,” and especially “our children.” Oh, Melissa Harris-Perry? I have a rule. Unless you’re my wife, there ain’t no such thing as “our children.” MICHAEL WALSH: Perils Of A Politically Correct Pentagon. “The brass at the Pentagon seems hell-bent on turning the world’s most powerful military into an arm of the PC Police, a fresh field for ‘politically correct’ bureaucrats.”

CONSISTENCY IS FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE

CONSISTENCY IS FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE: Obama declares Tuesday ‘National Equal Pay Day,’ despite paying female staffers less than male counterparts. NO WONDER HE’S ACTING SO DESPERATE: Obama’s Approval On Guns, Immigration, Deficit Underwater. “Forty-five percent approve of the president’s push to reform the nation’s gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting, while 52% say they disapprove.” NEWS YOU CAN USE: By the way, we won the Iraq War. Plus: “Isn’t it odd how everybody stopped keeping a death toll of Americans killed overseas on January 20, 2009? But then, as the great lady once said: What difference does it make?” HOW DO YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A JOURNALIST AND A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE? GOVERNMENT WORKERS HAVE BETTER PENSION PLAN. Obama's speech, at once demagogic and pathetic Obama uttered one of the worst lines in the history of presidential oratory yesterday: "This is about these families and families all across the country who are saying let's make it a little harder for our kids to get gunned down."

Another Civil War?

Another Civil War? Charles Sumner said that “True politics are simple morals applied to public affairs.” He stood against the immorality of slavery. The South upheld it. Today the liberal left and conservative right see America through two completely different moral lenses. Are we heading for another Civil War? Before the Civil War, Ralph Waldo Emerson said the two sections of this country no longer spoke the same language, shared the same moral code, or obeyed the same law. He gravely declared, “I think we must get rid of slavery, or we must get rid of freedom.” Are we not again at a moral crossroad? Left vs. Right? Red vs. Blue. Liberal vs. Conservative? The slaveholding South prior to the Civil War applauded the caning of Sen. Charles Sumner. A senator from Mississippi announced that “slavery is a great moral, social, and political blessing - a blessing to the slave, and a blessing to the master.” In contrast, abolitionists from the North condemned Sumner’s caning. Americans faced a choice between Northern civilization and Southern barbarism. Sumner knew that appeasement to slaveholders was impossible. Concessions to placate the South failed. They demoralized the forces of freedom in the North. Slaveholders remained insatiable. The same reality governs politics today. The late Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher reminds that consensus is not leadership. When necessary the moral battle must be fought to win.

Contrasts

Unsilenced Cal Contrasts 8These words were spoken by an eloquent speaker of Boston’s elite, Charles Sumner: “My mind, soul, heart are not improved or invigorated by the practice of my profession ( law); overhauling papers, old letters, and sifting accounts, in order to see if there be any thing on which to plant an action. The sigh will come, for a canto of Dante, a Rhapsody of Homer, a play of Schiller.” These words are from the ending of Sumner’s peacenik speech on July 4th, 1945: The grandeur of nation would come not in warfare but “in moral elevation, enlightened and decorated by the intellect of man.” Then would come a “true golden age.” Then “shall the naked be clothed and the hungry fed. Institutions of science and learning shall crown every hill-top; hospitals for the sick...shall nestle in every valley; while spires of new churches shall leap exulting to the skies... The eagle of our country, without the terror of his beak, and dropping the forceful thunderbolt from his pounces, shall soar with the olive of Peace into untried realms of ether, nearer to the sun.” Sumner with only notes on statistics spoke for two hours in 1845. At this time of the death of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, we might remember three great men, three eagles who soared who across the world stage simultaneously - Reagan, Pope John Paul II and the Iron Maiden - exuding strength not weakness. We can learn two lessons from history, Peace comes through strength embodied in the simple eloquence of a genuine leader. Eloquence is not enough. Lady Thatcher told George W. Bush not “go wobbly” before the 1st Gulf war. Our President Obama is not only wobbly but an actual bobble–head. Unfortunately Thatcher, Reagan and Pope John Paul II shared a common thread of debilitating declines before their deaths - strokes, Altzheimers and Parkinsons. Sumner’s beating forced him into years of decline and an early death. Yet none ever wobbled in their principles or actions. What will old age hold for our bobble-head, Obama? For empty eloquence ghost written? For the unprincipled man? For our Machiavelli?

Watch the P’s and C’s

Watch the P’s and C’s The American dream today is not being an American. How do I know? Only that which is un-American counts for any preference, privilege or position in this Obama world of the 3 P’s. Also, the 3 C’s, corruption, collusion and cronyism count for virtually all activity in Washington. The 4th C, capitalism, is gone. True capitalism, the free exchanges of goods and services, a free market driven by supply and demand is gone. The capital sin of greed ( excessive or insatiable desire for wealth) accounts for the corruption of politicians and corporations. They practice collusion with the government for favors or absence of punishment in a system of mutually beneficial cronysim. The 3 C's rule in Obama’s world. As a disciple of Machiavellian politics, Obama - out of necessity - practices expediency to maintain power over the people.

ANTICS OF OUR LEADERS

ANTICS OF OUR LEADERS JOHN PODHORETZ: It’s bad enough that our politicians are crooks, but it’s insulting that they sell themselves for so little. CORRUPTION AND NANNYISM GO TOGETHER: Corrupt Pols Running America’s Biggest Nanny State. The nannyism is partly to distract from the corruption — and partly just another opportunity to leverage it. A good general rule is that the more a government wants to run its citizens’ lives, the worse job it will do at the most basic tasks of government. “This is what blue model decline looks like. And with businesses and people fleeing the state, the worst may be yet to come.” We Won’t Be Out-Cronyied! Here’s a letter to the Baltimore Sun: Export-Import Bank President Fred Hochberg proclaims that “It is our job at Ex-Im to level the playing field. .....Translation: “It is our job at Ex-Im to unjustifiably bankroll our crony capitalists every bit as fully as other governments unjustifiably bankroll theirs. MIKE BLOOMBERG’S ANTI-GUN FRIENDS SEEM A SHADY LOT: Anti-Gun Pennsylvania Mayor Drunkenly Seeks Oral Sex — at Gunpoint. “According to the man, Schiliro, who was intoxicated, asked repeatedly whether he could perform oral sex on him. . . . According to court records, Schiliro waved three handguns during the encounter.” He was a member of Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns group, many of whom seem to have had problems with the law. In fact, Mayors Against Illegal Guns members are 45 times more likely to commit crimes than Florida permit holders. And in view of other recent developments, that number may be on the low side. . . . NEWS OF THE OBVIOUS: MSNBC Is Kindergarten for Bored, Angry Unemployed People. JONAH GOLDBERG: Is Disability The New Welfare? GLOBAL WARMING: Was it just a beautiful dream after all? “I’ve grown old waiting for the promised global warming. I was 35 when predictions of a looming ice age were supplanted by warmmongering. Now I’m 68, and there’s still no sign of warmer weather. . . . A generation and a half into climate change, née global warming, you can’t point to a single place on earth where the weather is noticeably different from what it was in 1979.” IT’S POTEMKIN VILLAGES ALL THE WAY DOWN: Democratic front group hyped as hunters by media in gun-control fight.

Radical reformer, Obama

Radical reformer, Obama Four essential elements are needed for success in a reformer in politics. 1. The existence of a real, palpable, and threatening evil that demands correction 2. A body of public thought that can be mobilized against the evil. 3. For a reform to take hold, there have to be attacks or fissures in the established social structure where seeds of chance can take root. 4. A reformer must be deeply committed to his cause. These thoughts were applied to the reformer, Charles Sumner and his cause - the abolition of slavery. BUT I immediately recognized Barack Obama as 1. the reformer hell bent on totally transforming America. We are already in decline. 2. The evil is conservatism and Republican politicians who still hold some political power. The body mobilized against this evil is the media and liberal propaganda ably doing their jobs criticizing the enemy. 3. Fissures already exist in our social structure (culture) seen in the undermining of our moral principles and fiscal responsibilities as government creeps insidiously into our daily lives with rules and restrictions 4..Lastly, the reformer, our charismatic President, is deeply committed to his socialist and anti-American cause. Slavery lost; will Obama win and institute a new age of slavery?

And It Came Down

And It Came Down It only takes 3 and it comes down. A student and 2 parents can undo a Jesus picture hanging on a wall in a school since 1949. Why? Why? We live in an America of newspeak. Gangs are now “security threat groups.” And we live in an America where the Judeo-Christian revelations are no longer a religious source of philosophical development. The Latin Middle Ages were supreme witness to this condition, but today, reason has died. In a country of 300 million, in 2013, basically we rational, Christian believers are just screwed over by 3 atheists.

KASICH TO TAKE OBAMACARE BAIT & SWITCH

KASICH TO TAKE OBAMACARE BAIT & SWITCH Ask Our State Representative To Take A Stand Against Obamacareʼs Medicaid Expansion Tell Representative : • The federal government has made an empty promise vowing to pay 100% of the cost of expansion for three years, declining to 90% by 2020. The US government is already $16.4 trillion in debt with $6 trillion added in the past four years. Eventually, Ohioans will be left holding the bag for the cost of Medicaid expansion. Even Governor Kasich agrees: • Kasich claims expansion will help Ohioʼs most vulnerable, but Medicaid is not a compassionate health care plan for the poor. 28% of office based doctors in Ohio refuse to see Medicaid patients and a University of Virginia study found that Medicaid patients are significantly more likely to die in hospitals after surgery than insured patients and are even more likely to die than uninsured patients. • Medicaid expansion will drive up insurance premiums for all Ohioans. Since doctors and hospitals are not fully compensated under Medicaid, medical providers make up the difference by charging higher rates to their insured patients, thus increasing premiums for all. • Kasich says he wants to keep Ohio tax dollars in Ohio. But, Ohioans are federal taxpayers too. So, how does shifting the debt burden to the federal government help Ohioans?? Whether we are taxed on our Ohio return or our federal return, you can be sure that Ohioans will pay for expansion. • Ohioans cannot rely on the cost estimates for expansion because participation rates have been grossly understated. The Kasich budget projects 275,000 new Medicaid enrollees, but the Milliman Report commissioned by Kasichʼs own Department of Insurance, anticipates Medicaid participation to increase by as much as 1,072,000 by 2017. “Now, when it comes to Medicaid expansion the government tells me, ʻWell, weʼll pay 90% and you pay 10.ʼ Well Iʼve been in Washington, unfortunately, and today itʼs 90 and tomorrow itʼs 80 and the next day itʼs 70.” (Kasich, “Coffee & Markets”, August 2, 2012) " " Governor Kasich has proposed to begin the implementation of Obamacare in Ohio through Medicaid expansion. By doing so, he mires the poorest Ohioans in a broken and unsustainable health care scheme which will leave a mountain of debt in its wake. Donʼt let Kasich unleash the wrecking ball of Obamacare across Ohio. Our state representatives need to hear from us now. Tell them that we know the facts and are watching their votes. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE NOW!

Keynes was a flake

Keynes was a flake who wrote in grand terms about an "economics" which pleased the political masters of his time, and our time. Classical economics says to leave the people alone. Keynesian economics says that politicians are supreme, and are able to correct the "deficiencies" of the businessmen who unfortunately happen to create all of the wealth.

THE MYTH OF OBAMISM

THE MYTH OF OBAMISM VICTOR DAVIS HANSON You see, Obamism is an emotional flight from reality, completely unsustainable to the degree it is a paradigm for anything. It is mythical, this notion of borrowing vast amounts of money to grow government and subsidize a new cadre on government support, or demonizing millions as suspect for their success, or assuming that foreign nations react best to apologies, contextualization, and sermons, or wish to join in the cultural adulation of an American president. Putin could care less. Ditto the North Koreans. In short, in this mythical age, we all know that Barack Obama won the Nobel Prize, but none of us quite know what for. Such is what passes for reality in our age of myth.

Who is privileged?

Who is privileged? You should remember that the accusation of white privilege being bandied about by liberals (progressives) today reverses reality. Inversion of reality ( or perversion) is a typical behavioral pattern of an agenda-driven leftie. Privilege is defined as a law for or against an individual. The result is a right, an immunity, an advantage, a benefit, favored status enjoyed by a person. So who are privileged in our politically-correct, left-wing driven, media-controlled America? Who are the privileged classes? You go figure...

Carnival of Buncombe - Typical American Voters

Carnival of Buncombe - Typical American Voters H.L. Mencken’s 1956 collection, On Politics: A Carnival of Buncombe; here, Mencken is discussing typical American voters: “They like phrases which thunder like salvos of artillery. Let that thunder sound, and they take all the rest on trust. If a sentence begins furiously and then peters out into fatuity, they are still satisfied. If a phrase has a punch in it, they do not ask that it also have a meaning. If a word slides off the tongue like a ship going down the ways, they are content and applaud it and await the next. Politics is indeed nearly all theater. And it would be fabulously entertaining if only its cast members did not demand audience participation.” Could anything equal the empty thunder of an Obama speech?

A beautiful Hypothesis destroyed by an inconvenient fact

A beautiful Hypothesis destroyed by an inconvenient fact The trouble seems to be that although the science behind global warming gets debunked, it never seems to stick. Somehow that meme, that the environmentalism religion, if you will, has a life of its own. The saddest thing is the selling out of science, of research science. The same thing seems to be happening in the health and nutrition field if Gary Taubes's amazing expose "Good Calories, Bad Calories" is to be believed. This is science at its very cynical worst, that is science to prove a pre-set, politically correct or politically desirable, conclusion. As Americans become more and more accustomed to sell-out science, their trust falls away. Not a good thing. "Ah, the tragedy of it all. A beautiful Hypothesis destroyed by an inconvenient fact."
